Sarah Fox, who is singing the soprano solo part in our concert of Mendelssohn's Elijah at Cadogan Hall in April, has an international musical career which has included performances in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Melbourne, San Francisco and New York. Her roles at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden have included Micaela in Carmen, Asteria in Tamerlano, Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Woglinde in Der Ring des Nibelungen, while she has also sung Mimi in La Boheme for Opera North and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro for Glyndebourne and the Royal Danish Opera. She has appeared several times at the BBC Proms, the Edinburgh Festival and the Three Choirs Festival and is a regular guest both at the Wigmore Hall and on BBC Radio 2's `Friday Night Is Music Night.' Recordings include The Cole Porter Songbook, Mozart's Requiem and Vaughan Williams's A Sea Symphony.
The Dulwich Choral Society concert of Mendelssohn's Elijah, conducted by Aidan Oliver and with the City of London Sinfonia and JAGS Holst Choir, will take place at Cadogan Hall on Saturday April 27 at 7.30 p.m. Tickets from www.cadoganhall.com.
Prior to our concert you can also hear her in Parry's Judith with the London Mozart Players and Crouch End Festival Chorus, conducted by William Vann, at the Royal Festival Hall on April 3. Her engagements also take her to Oslo on April 11 and 12 for performances of Verdi's Requiem with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra & Choir.
