DCS Summer Concert Aidan Rehearsing

Come and Join Us at Any Rehearsal Mondays 7.30 p.m., JAGS, East Dulwich

Dulwich Choral Society has been celebrating its 75th anniversary over the past year. We sang Mendelssohn's Elijah at Cadogan Hall in April and had a sell-out performance of Bach's Magnificat and Ascension Oratorio at All Saints, West Dulwich in November. Our summer concert was Horovitz's Captain Noah & His Floating Zoo, with participation of children from St. John's & St. Clement's, East Dulwich.

We are starting rehearsals this January for our Bernstein and Britten concert, and all are most welcome to come along and join. Please contact for a chance to take part in our events. Those interested will be asked to take a short audition aimed at establishing basis choral skills, and no prepared piece is needed. We are actively looking for new members in all parts, and very much welcome newcomers.

Concert of 20th Century Choral Music From Bernstein to Britten

The choir will return to All Saints, West Dulwich on Saturday March 14th for a performance of Leonard Bernstein's wonderful Chichester Psalms, the centre piece of our spring concert celebrating 20th century choral music.

It will also include Benjamin Britten's Canticle II "Abraham and Isaac"  and his Jubilate in C, as well as "Let All the World" by Vaughan Williams and Otcenas (Our Father) by Janacek.

The concert will take place on the evening of Saturday March 14th at All Saints Church, West Dulwich, under the baton of our Music Director Aidan Oliver, who is also Chorus Director of the Edinburgh Festival Chorus and Chorus Director at Glyndebourne Opera.
